Six rewarded at Fortebet Real Stars awards

The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars awards rewarded six athletes for the month of June at the awarding ceremony held at Lazio Restaurant in Lugogo.
The winners were from Cricket, Table Tennis, Handball, Special Olympics, Motor-rally and Moto-cross.
UPDF Handball club goalkeeper Edmond Omonyi clinched the handball accolade. He beat teammate Isa Umar and Kyengeza’s Patience Joyce Namutosi to the June gong.
Swimmer Larry Feni beat Cleopatra Rhabaha and Praise Odoi to the Special Olympics category accolade.
In Cricket, Henry Ssenyondo scooped the June gong ahead of Riazar Ali Shah and Cindy Aweko.
Ssenyondo put up astonishing performances as the Cricket Cranes beat Rwanda.
Africa’s number one rider in the 85 CC class Gift Tabula Ssebuguzi won the Moto-cross accolade ahead of Hellen Birungi and Miguel Katende.
His father Ronald Ssebuguzi a Motor-rally driver received the accolade on behalf of the son.
The rally crew of Yasin Nasser and Ali Katumba won the Motor-rally plaque ahead of Ponsiano Lwakataka and Paul Musaazi and the pair of Ibrahim Lubega and Geoffrey Serwoga. Katumba received the accolade on behalf of the Rally crew.
The winners scooped winning plaques and cash prize courtesy of main sponsors Fortebet and Riham.
