URA FC defender Derrick Ndahiro has agreed terms to join Rwanda Premier League side Police FC, Swift Sports reliably confirms.

Ndahiro left Uganda and arrived in Rwanda on Monday ahead of his move to the Rwandan Cops.

The Cranes left-back was in stands as Police lost 1-0 to Taddeo Lwanga’s APR FC in the only league game played on Monday evening.

Ndahiro will be joining his former URA FC teammate Moses Sseruyidde ‘Kinye’ who joined the Cops after leaving Kitara FC two months ago.

It should be noted that Ndahiro has in the recent past been a target for a number of Rwanda Premier League clubs but also their national team.

He was lured to play for the Amavubi Stars (Rwanda national team) before he made his debut for the Uganda Cranes.

Early this year, Ndahiro was part of the squad that represented Uganda in the 2023 CHAN tournament held in Algeria.

The pint sized defender grew up from Kamwokya where he kick started his career before joining SC Villa in 2018 from Kamwokya’s Riverside Forest Park FC.

He switched to URA FC in 2021 after impressive exploits with the Jogoos.

Police FC was formed in 2000 by the Rwanda National Police and earned promotion to the topflight in 2003 after winning the second division.

The club won the 2015 Rwanda Peace Cup before losing the 2016 final.
