Vipers SC head coach Leonard Martins Neiva is set to resign from his role at the Uganda Premier league champions.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Neiva has opted to step down as Vipers’ head coach.
The decision comes days after Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy eliminated the Venoms from the CAF Champions league at the first preliminary round.
Vipers lost 3-2 on aggregate to the Botswana champions who will next face South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in the next round.
The Brazilian native replaced Alex Isabirye Musongola at Vipers in July this year.
This was after Isabirye’s surprise resignation at the Kitende based side.
Neiva has previously managed at Tanzania Giants Yanga Africans and Sudanase Al-Merrikh.
Meanwhile, Vipers will begin their title defense away to Gaddafi FC on 17th September, 2023.
