FUFA semi finalists URA FC start the new season against UPDF FC on Sunday 17th at Bombo Barracks Military grounds.
URA lost the Super eight final to BUL FC 3-1 in spot kicks after both sides playing to a goalless full-time draw.
Both sides have been so busy in the on going transfer window.
URA FC brought in 14 new faces while The Army side have 11 new signings.
Goalkeeper Yusuf Wasswa, Jimmy Okidi, Christopher Tebandeke, Henry Tenywa, Shugai Kalisa, Bashir Kabuye, Derrick Kaija, Edward Kawooya, Eseru Robert, Sam Kintu and Joseph Bright Vuni are the new signings that have joined the Bombo based entity.
The Tax Collectors brought in Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Amis Bwangani, Rodgers Omedwa Denis Otim, Laban Tibita, Godfrey Sekibengo, Denis Kisiriko Luzige, John Innocent Kisolo, Norman Namanya, Enock Walusimbi, Sharif Kimbowa, Moses Aliro, Ibrahim Wammanah and Emmanuel Janan Okech.
Puis Ngabo is the new head coach at the helms of UPDF after replacing Brian Ssenyondo the last time he worked with UPDF was under Kefa Kisala.
Fred Muhumuza is the man in the URA FC’s dug out following the death of head coach Sam Timbe.
Muhumuza believes they are building on the run his side had in the Super 8,
“Bombo is a very tricky side to visit and our target is starting on a high note despite playing a stubborn side we are building on the run we had in the Super 8 on match fitness we are very ok.”
Joseph Ssemujju will be subjected to a late fitness test.
On the last 12 meetings both sides have met URA has won seven, UPDF three and the other three have ended in stalemates, infact last season when the two sides met it all ended in stalemates.
