Three time Masaza Cup winners Mawokota have eliminated Buvuma to storm the 2023 Masaza Cup Semifinal.
Mawokota needed a Joseph Kayondo late strike to break Buvuma’s resilience in the return leg that ended 1-0 at Buwama playground.
Richard Malinga coached side progressed to the Semifinal 1-0 on aggregate.
The two sides played out to a goalless stalemate in the first leg meeting.
Meanwhile, record winners Gomba beat Ssingo in the return leg of their Quarterfinal at Mityana Ssaza Ground 1-0 courtesy of a Kenneth Kimera second half strike.
The five time Masaza Cup winners Gomba prevail 4-1 on aggregate having won the first leg 3-1 at Kabulasoke playground.
Gomba will now battle Buddu in the Semifinal while Mawokota will lock horns with Bulemeezi who stunned Buwekula
