Record winners Gomba will Buddu battle two time Masaza Cup champions Buddu in the first leg of their Semifinal at Kabulasoke playground on Sunday, 1st October.

The five time Masaza Cup Champions beat Ssingo 4-1 on aggregate to progress to this stage while Buddu eliminated with Kyadondo 2-1 aggregate score in the Quarterfinal.

Gomba are managed by Felix Ssekabuza while Buddu are under coach Simon Peter Mugerwa.

Both tacticians worked together at Busiro last year guiding the side to their first ever Masaza Cup crown.

Buddu are seeking to reach a fourth consecutive Masaza Cup final having played in the previous three editions (2020, 2021 and 2022).

Gomba beat Buddu 3-1 to clinch their fifth Masaza Cup title during the 2020 edition while Buddu earned their first championship crown against the same opponents in 2016.

Gomba will look up Kenneth Kimera fresh from scoring his first goal in the Uganda Premier league with Wakiso Giants for inspiration.

Him and his striking partner Allan Oyirwoth were instrumental against Ssingo with each scoring two goals over the two legs.

Buddu will look up on form attacker Pius Ssebulime and Meddie Kasule.

In the other Semifinal, Mawokota will host Bulemeezi at Buwama playground on Sunday.
