SC Villa have been boosted by the return of striker Charles Lwanga and defender Edward Masembe to the team’s training.

Lwanga has been on the sidelines since Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Kitara FC in the opening fixture of the 2023/24 season.

The former KCCA FC forward has missed games against Maroons FC and NEC FC while nursing his injury.

Masembe broke his jaw during a Pre-season friendly with the Uganda Cranes.

The defender has now fully recovered and returned to the team’s training last week.

Meanwhile, striker Denis Ojara and right back Tabu Oryem continue with their recovery from long-term injury.

SC Villa will next visit Vipers SC on Friday, 20th October under the floodlights of St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.

Under Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic, the record Uganda Premier league champions have garnered four points in their opening three league games.
