After striking a partnership with Vipers, the Wakiso Hill WFC brand is expected to be a center of attraction for the women football faithfuls and the Ugandan football fraternity at large.
New Players, New Dawn?
Reinforcing the squad is one of the unwritten requirements for any newly promoted club so as to catch up with the demanding standards of the league. Likewise Wakiso Hill hit the market and managed to bring in a blend of the experienced and young blood.
Defenders Fatumah Nakasumba and Phoebe Banura are some of the tried and tested players who were previously unveiled by the club about two months ago.
Highly rated offensive midfielder Zaitun Namaganda is another big catch swooped in by the club in a bid to add craft in the squad.
However, the club will be expected to unveil more players including newly acquired Kenya national team striker Suzan Muhonja Malda.
The Antelopes will open up the season with a highly anticipated clash against Makerere University at Kitende on Sunday morning.
Swaleh Kamya is expected to be in the dug out of the club after playing a starring role in winning promotion back to the topflight.
