The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group stage was conducted on Thursday, 12th October at the Parc Des Expositions venue in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
The Draw was conducted by a heavyweight quartet of Africa’s biggest current and former football superstars, Didier Drogba, Mikel Obi, Sadio Mane and Achraf Hakim.
Host nation Ivory Coast are in Group A alongside Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea Bissau.
Group B comprises of record winners Egypt, Ghana, Cape Verde and Mozambique
Holders Senegal are in Group C alongside five time winners Cameroon, Guinea and Gambia.
Group D has Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania and Angola while Tunisia, Mali, South Africa and Namibia are in Group E.
2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco will battle Sebastien Desabre’s DR Congo, Zambia and Tanzania in Group F.
This will be the 34th edition of the continental showpiece and will take place from 13 January to 11 February 2024.
