Uganda Premier league champions Vipers SC are set to sack Brazilian tactician Leonard Martins Neiva.
Sources close to the club reveal that the tactician has already bid his farewells to some of the players.
Vipers players will return to training on Tuesday after Christmas break.
The development comes hours after Vipers suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to current table leaders BUL FC on Friday.
Defeat ended the Venoms long unbeaten run in the league at home. They had last lost a league game at Kitende on 27th November, 2021 to URA FC.
The Brazilian native replaced Alex Isabirye Musongola at Vipers in July this year.
This was after Isabirye’s surprise resignation at the Kitende based side.
Neiva has previously managed at Tanzania Giants Yanga Africans and Sudanase Al-Merrikh.
Vipers are currently second on the Uganda Premier league table with 24 points and five adrift of leaders BUL FC.
The Venoms next face Express FC on 30th December who are under the stewardship of their former coach Isabirye.
There are no suggestions that Neiva will be in the dugout for that game since his time could soon be up.
