Ashraf Mulindi salvaged a point for Soltilo Bright Stars in their 1-1 draw with Express FC on Thursday at Kavumba Recreation ground.
Isaac Wagoina had given the Red Eagles the lead at the start of the second half.
Express FC came into this game after back-to-back defeats since the resumption of the second round.
They lost 3-1 and 4-3 to Mbarara City and KCCA respectively in the league.
Wagoina fired the visitors into the lead from the spot after Steven Ssenfuma had been fouled in the forbidden area two minutes into the second period.
The hosts however levelled matters through second half substitute Mulindi with five minutes to normal time.
Mulindi’s goal was enough to secure a point for the home side and move to 22 points and are 11th on the Uganda Premier league log.
The stalemate sees Express FC move to 26 points and are eighth on the table.
Elsewhere, Mbarara City needed a Namasa Edward first half strike to overcome Busoga United at Kakyeka Stadium.
Mbarara City are now 10th on the log with 23 points while Busoga United are 14th with 15 points.

Wasswa Bbosa’s coached side will next travel to Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreation Ground on 8th March while Busoga United next host Gaddafi at Kakindu on Thursday 29th February.
