Major blow for Express! Injured Kawooya ruled out for weeks

Express FC have been dealt a major injury blow with captain Ramsey Kawooya sidelined for up to a month due to injury.

Kawooya missed Express FC’s 1-0 defeat to their arch-rivals SC Villa over the weekend due to a muscle injury.

Now, according to reports the midfielder faces a spell of between three to four weeks on the sidelines and will miss several significant matches.

This season, Kawooya has been one of the outstanding performers for the Wankulukuku based side. His performances also earned him a place in the national team squad that faced off with Guinea and Somalia in the World Cup Qualifiers last November.

He joined the Red Eagles at the start of this season having after 12 years in Sweden.

Kawooya has previously featured for Vaxjo United, Karlskrona FF, Somaliska and FK Almeboda Linneryd, all in the Swedish lower divisions.
