Park FC extended their lead at the top of the betPawa Futsal Super log to eight points after a 4-2 victory over rivals Mengo City on Thursday evening.

Park capitalized on Luzira’s loss to Kampala Junior Team to extend their lead to eight points.

Second placed FC Luzira were stunned by Kampala Junior Team 4-3 in the game that was played on Thursday.

Despite falling behind early in the game courtesy of Derrick Male’s strike for Edgars, Park quickly responded, with captain Shafiq Mulangira leveling the contest before Samuel Kalyango tapped in Gibran Nduhukire’s superb through pass from close range to fired them into the lead.

After the recess, Derrick Walugembe netted a brace to extend Park FC’s lead to 4-1.

John Kitanda was sent off with almost 10 minutes of regulation time.

Amos Wabwire found another consolation for Edgars. This is Park FC’s 12th victory of the season and are now eight points ahead of Luzira.

In the only other game played on Thursday, Kisugu’s impressive form continued as they secured an important 4-2 victory over rivals Mengo City.

Majara Kenneth netted twice to add to Timothy Oyamot’s opener for Kisugu, while Farouk Tumwesigwe and William Sseguya found the back of the net for Mengo.
