Kitara FC’s President Deo Kasozi has questioned Masindi Municipality’s revenue charge on the club’s gate collections.

Masindi Municipal imposed a 10% fee on the Kitara’s gate collections for hosting home games at the municipality stadium.

According to Kasozi, the current collections are insufficient to support the club’s activities and the revenue charge will significantly affect the club’s revenue.

“Masindi benefits both directly and indirectly when we host games here through commodity sales, and the area is also advertised which increases visibility. The pitch is also going to be improved as a training ground for CAF, so the leaders should be happy that Kitara is hosting games there.”

“We have an MOU that takes us until the end of the season, and we did a lot of improvements to the stadium to the tune of shs 30 million, and I would not mind about the resolution but its spirit. We are trying to propagate the idea of community clubs, and they need to be supported by the area,” Said Kasozi as quoted by NBS Sport

Kitara current lead the Uganda Premier league table with 43 points and will next host second placed BUL FC.
