Nkumba University cruised to the 2024 Pepsi University Football League final after eliminating Kampala University 2-1 on aggregate.
Nkumba won the semifinal first leg meeting 1-0 in Luzira and in the return leg on Tuesday in Nkumba the two side played out to a 1-1 stalemate.
Odeke Joshua had given the visitors the lead in the 35th minute before Balyawo Ishaque restored parity for the home three minutes after the recess.
Balyawo’s goal was enough to send Nkumba into the final where they will face 2019 winners Uganda Christian University who eliminated MUBS University 2-1 in the other two legged semifinal.
Nkumba and UCU will battle each other on 20th April at MTN Philip Omondi Stadium.
