Former Cranes left back Nestroy Kizito joins Bogere’s coaching staff at Mawokota

Former Uganda Cranes and SC Villa left back Nestroy Kizito has joined Mawokota Ssaza team coaching staff as assistant to Steven Bogere.

Mawokota appointed Bogere as Richard Malinga’s replacement ahead of the 2024 Buganda Masaza Cup tournament.

Kizito a former Standard High Zzana head coach and currently serves as assistant at FUFA Big League side Police FC will now serve as Bogere’s right hand man at Mawokota.

The former SC Villa, right back previously served as Edward Kaziba and Moses Basena’s assistant at SC Villa.

During his time as a player, Kizito won four league titles, two Uganda Cup medals and one CECAFA Kagame Cup at SC Villa.

After excelling in the four seasons at Villa, Kizito joined Serbia’s first division side Srem FC before he joined topflight side Vojvodina in 2005.

He later joined Serbian side Partizan Belgrade helping them reach the UEFA Champions League, won the Serbia Super Cup and as well the Serbia Super League in 2010/11. He also featured for now defunct SC Victoria University and had over 80 national team caps.

Mawokota are three time Masaza Cup winners having previously won the prestigious competition in 2005, 2007 and 2013.
