Kabon Living fired Kitara back to the top of the Uganda Premier League with a last-gasp 2-1 win against Express FC on Wednesday at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
Kabon directly struck from a corner kick in added time of the entertaining contest at Wankulukuku to send the traveling fans into elation.
Brian Ssenyondo’s side led through Denis Omedi goal in the 10th minute.
Express equalised moments later when Isaac Wagoina converted a penalty after being fouled in the forbidden area.
Both Kabon’s late show both sides had numerous scoring opportunities with Omedi coming close for Kitara when his effort hit the woodward.
Wagoina also came close for Express but his effort went inches wide in added time.
The goal finally came in final minute of added time when Kabon scored from a direct corner kick to inspire Kitara to maximum points.
Kitara FC return to the summit with 47 points they have garnered in 25 games, two points above second placed Vipers SC and third placed BUL FC who play NEC FC in the late kickoff at Lugogo.
