Relegation threatened UPDF FC host title chasing SC Villa in an important game at both ends of the table.
It is a crucial duel as both teams in dire need of points face off, albeit both need these points for very different reasons.
The army side are in real danger and a defeat to the record Uganda Premier league champions in Bombo on Saturday will confirm their relegation to the FUFA Big League.
UPDF lost their previous league game 1-0 against KCCA FC in Lugogo.
They currently sit precariously in 15th position on the league table with 21 points.
SC Villa on the other hand make a trip to Bombo with a win vital for the 16-time league winners as they hope to end their 20 year drought without a league title.
Dusan Stojanovic’s men dug deep in their comeback victory over Wakiso Giants in midweek.
The Jogoos will hope other title chasing teams (BUL FC, Vipers SC and Kitara) fall short in their subsequent fixtures on Saturday.
Villa are currently fourth on the table with 48 points and just a point adrift of league leaders BUL FC and second placed Vipers SC.
