Uganda Premier league champions SC Villa are set to lose forward Abas Kyeyune during this transfer window.
This website has established that Kyeyune left the country and is currently in Egypt for trials at topflight side Cleopatra Ceremica.
Kyeyune joined SC Villa at the start of the 2023/24 campaign from UPDF FC and helped them end their 20 year wait without a league title.
The youngster also features for the Uganda U-20 Men’s National football team and was instrumental for the side as they reached the 2023 African Games Final that were held in Ghana this year.
Kyeyune is remembered for inspiring the U-20 comeback win over Congo in the Semifinal contest, scoring one and making two assists as Uganda won 4-2.
He also played for the Uganda U-15 team that won the inaugural U-15 CECAFA Challenge Cup for Uganda that was held in Eritrea in 2019.
In that same tournament, Kyeyune finished as the top scorer with nine goals to his name.
During his time at Kampala Junior team (KJT), Kyeyune helped the side win the 2021/22 Futsal Super League and was voted the 2021/22 Futsal Super League Most Valuable Player for his outstanding performance during his side’s incredible trophy triumph.
