There was nothing to separate Wakiso Hill WFC and She Corporate FC in the first leg of the FUFA Women’s Cup semi-final played at Kitende.

Both sides came into the encounter with an aim of grabbing the first leg advantage. This was reflected by the proceedings on the pitch.

It was not only a closely contested encounter but also a physical game as both sides scrambled for dominance.

She Corporate were dealt huge blow as their skipper Margret Namirimu and goalkeeper Hadijah Nalongo were stretchered off in the first and second half respectively.

Wakiso Hill had an attempt from skipper Zaitun Namaganda early in the first half but her shot was saved by Nalongo.

Fatumah Nakasumba had her free kick from about 30 yards brilliantly saved by Nalongo in the 19th minute of the game.

Namirimu was stretchered off the pitch after a collision with Namaganda at the stroke of halftime. Subsequently, Stella Musibika replaced her.

In the second half, Nalongo was also stretchered off after a collision with Wakiso Hill left back Faridah Namirimu who was attempting to shoot from close range. Molly Naava replaced her.

She Corporate almost benefited from a miscommunication between Wakiso Hill defender Teddy Namata and goalkeeper Nulu Babirye in the 87th minute. Namata was very fortunate her header hit the side net.
