Zebra Ssenyange Junior attends Kwibuka Genocide Boxing tournament in Rwanda

Ugandan Boxer Isaac Zebra Ssenyange Junior was among the invited guests for the Kwibuka Genocide Memorial Boxing tournament.

The event was hosted at Kigali Universe in Rwanda on 15th-16th June. This competition honours the memory of boxing professionals and enthusiasts who were killed in the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Zebra Jr is the reigning national Super welterweight champion and was invited to Rwanda to inspire the young Rwandese boxers.

“The Boxing Federation of Rwanda invited me to attend the Kwibuka Memorial Boxing tournament. I am here to be a spark of inspiration to the young Rwandese boxers. I am also here in honor of my mother’s heritage, so I celebrate the 30th Genocide memorial with the Boxing community in Rwanda.” Said Zebra Jr

Ssenyange is in Rwanda along with Zebra Boxing Club captain Shakur Mugambe. The event was also attend by several dignitaries.
