UPL side Mbarara City FC have confirmed awarding Henry Kitegenyi a new employment contract of three years.
The Ankole Lions confirmed the development on their official social media platforms,
“Henry Kitegenyi signs a new 3 year Contract at Mbarara City FC valid until June 2027”
Kitegenyi was Mbarara City FC’s top scorer in the recently concluded season with nine goals.
He signs a new contract days after the Ankole Lions unveiled Livingstone Mbabazi as their new head coach taking over from Wasswa Bbosa.
Kitegenyi was the MVP in the 2022/23 FUFA Big League and in the same season he also managed to net 22 goals.
Kansai Plascon and Vipers are Kitegenyi’s former sides, he also featured for Kyaddondo in the Masaza Cup tournament.
Mbarara finished last season in the tenth position with 32 points from 29 games.
