The organisers of the Pilsner Uganda Premier league awards have released the nominees for the best performers of the 2023/24 season.
For player of the season five players have been nominated and these are, SC Villa duo of Patrick Jonah Kakande and Ronald Ssekiganda will battle with KCCA FC’s Muhammad Shaban, Denis Omedi of Kitara FC and BUL’s defender Ronald Otti.
SC Villa head coach Dusan Stojanovic who guided the side to their first league title in 20 years will battle with Stanbic Uganda Cup winning coach Brian Ssenyondo and KCCA FC’s Abdallah Mubiru.
Wakiso Giants Kenneth Kimera, Usama Arafat Kiiza (KCCA FC) and SC Villa’s Patrick Jonah Kakande will battle for young player of the season gong.
Ronald Ssekiganda (SC Villa), Joel Sserunjogi and Abraham Tusubira (Maroons FC) are the nominees for midfielder of the season.
Ronald Otti (BUL FC), Joseph Dhata (NEC FC) and Kenneth Semakula (SC Villa) have been nominated for defender of the season award.
For goalkeeper of the season, Thomas Ikara (BUL FC), Hannington Ssebwalunyo (Maroons FC) and Crispus Kusiima( Kitara FC).
To determine the winners, Public Vote Online will carry 40% while Expert Panel will carry 60%).
The best performers will be rewarded at the glamorous event that will be held on Saturday, 29th June at Sheraton Hotel in Kampala.
