Crested Cranes winger Lillian Mutuuzo has joined South Sudan giants Yei Joint Stars from Kampala Queens.
Mutuuzo put pen to paper on a one year contract with the Juba based club on Sunday 23rd June.
The diminutive forward has been at Kampala Queens for six years having joined the club in 2018 from Tagy High School.
Mutuuzo leaves Kampala Queens with one FUFA Women Super League title achieved in the 2022/23 season.
She rose to limelight in 2018 while playing for the Crested Cranes during the CECAFA Women’s Championship and the COSAFA Women’s Championship held in Rwanda and South Africa respectively.
Yei Joint Stars will once again represent South Sudan in the CECAFA Zonal CAF Champions League qualifiers that will be held in Ethiopia in August.
Mutuuzo’s signing is a huge boost for Yei Joint Stars as they strive to go past the group stages of the qualification tournament for the first time ever.
Yei Joint Stars previously featured in the CECAFA Zonal CAF Champions League Qualifiers in 2021, 2022 and 2023 in Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Njeru respectively.
