Kyaggwe shock Gomba at Kabulasoke as Busujju stun Busiro

Match day one of the 2024 prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup tournament climaxed on Sunday with several games played.

On Saturday, three time competition winners Mawokota played out to a goalless draw away to Buvuma in their Masengere Group game.

Butambala registered a shock 1-0 win over two time champions Buddu in the Bulange group game that was played on Saturday at Kibiibi playground. Yusuf Kato netted the all important goal.

Busujju shocked 2022 Masaza Cup winners Busiro 1-0 at Sentama, thanks to Lauben Lubwama.

Busiro’s Edwin Wakijuyi Busiro missed penalty in the first period.

Kyaddondo cruised past Bugerere 1-0 courtesy of a Isaac Ssenyunga sole strike.

The anticipated game of match day one in Masengere Group between Buwekula and Ssingo ended in a disappointing stalemate at Mubende NTC.

In the same group, Kyaggwe needed two quick second half goals to stun record champions Gomba at Kabulasoke with a 2-0 victory.

Kalyowa Ivan Bravo and Isaac Ofoyroth scored the two goals for Kyaggwe who are under the stewardship of David Mutono.
