Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Jamal Salim Magoola has extended his stay at South Africa’s DStv Premiership side Richards Bay FC.
Salim has put pen to paper on a three year contract to end the uncertainty that has been hovering around his future amidst interest from several other clubs.
His initial two year employment contract was coming to an end having joined the club from Pretoria Callies FC in July 2022.
Kaizer Chiefs have been long time admirers of the former KCCA and Express FC shot stopper who instead has opted to commit his future with Richards Bay.
Salim played an instrumental role in helping the KwaZulu-Natal club to survive relegation in the recently concluded 2024/25 season.
It should also be noted that in his first season at the club (2022/23), Salim was nominated for the league’s Best Goalkeeper Award which was eventually won the Sundowns’ Ronwen Williams.
He has played a total of 59 games for Richards Bay in two seasons, keeping 22 clean sheets in the process.
