Lugazi FC have completed the signing of defender Bashir Asiku from relegated side Gaddafi FC, Swift Sports has learnt.
Asiku spent the closing stages of last season at Gaddafi FC before the club was eventually relegated.
The former Vipers defender had featured for Wakiso Giants in the opening half of the season.
Asiku is a former student of St. Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende and a graduate of the Vipers Junior Team.
He spent four years with the Vipers senior team and won three Uganda Premier League title plus two Stanbic Uganda Cups.
He joins the queue of new signings at Lugazi FC that also includes midfielders Rogers Adriko and Nelson Mandela.
As earlier reported by Swift Sports, Adriko has been acquired from UPDF FC where he spent three seasons.
Mandela is a former Maroons, Busoga United and Arua Hill versatile midfielder who has acquired from Big League side Onduparaka FC.
Sadick Sempigi was officially unveiled as the new head coach replacing Gerald Efiti who served as an interim coach prior to the topflight promotion.
