Uganda Hippos goalkeeper Abdu Magada set to join another UPL side

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club (URA FC) have agreed terms with Gaddafi FC and Uganda Hippos goalkeeper Abdu Magada.

Swift Sports Uganda understands that Magada will join the tax collectors on a two year employment contract.

The youthful goalkeeper featured for the Uganda Hippos at the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in 2023 and was also instrumental for the side as they finished runners up during the African Games that were held in Ghana this year.

The tax collectors are expected to part ways with Goalkeeper James Alitho this transfer window.

Magada will battle with former Express FC goalkeeper Denis Otim for a starting place at the Alex Isabirye Musongola coached side next season.

URA FC have already part ways with Viane Ssekajugo who is expected to join NEC FC, Najib Fesali who joined BUL FC and Eric Ssenjobe now at Rwanda’s Police FC.
