The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named all the stadiums that have been cleared to host the forthcoming Inter-club continental games for the 2024/25 season.
This season, Uganda will be represented by SC Villa in the CAF Champions League while Kitara FC will be in the Confederation Cup.
Newly refurbished Mandela National Stadium, Namboole and St.Mary’s Stadium in Kitende are the two stadiums in Uganda that have been cleared by CAF to host the inter-club competitions.

Kenya, Burkina Faso, Congo, Malawi and a few other countries do not have stadiums that can host matches in the 1 and 2 Preliminary Round of the CAF Champions League & Confederation Cup.
Teams from these countries will play their matches away from home.
During the CAF Champions League Preliminary stage draw SC Villa were pitted against Ethiopia champions Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE).
The winner after two legs will face off with the aggregate winner between Young Africans or Burundi’s Vital’O in second Preliminary round to determine the team that will prevail to the group stage.
Meanwhile, Kitara FC will face a Libyan team yet to be revealed in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
1st Preliminary round:
Home: August 16 – 18, 2024
Away: August 23-25, 2024
2nd Preliminary round
Home: September 13-15, 2024
Away: September 20-22, 2024
