UPDF FC are close to signing former Express FC midfielder Ivan Mayanja, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Mayanja is currently a free agent and has been on both SC Villa and URA FC radar.
Mayanja is expected to put pen to paper on a one year employment contract with the army side this transfer window.
Mayanja has previously played for Regional league side CATIDA FC from where he joined seven time Uganda Premier league champions Express FC in 2020.
At Express FC he won both the Uganda Premier league and CECAFA Kagame Cup in his debut season.
He also had a short stint at FUFA Big League side Kiyinda Boys FC.
Jjungu Methodius, Joseph Janjali Ssekitoleko Denis, Daniel Kitara, and Ocen Emmanuel Manu are the other players set to join the army side this window.
