Lugazi FC have unveiled former Vipers defender Bashir Asiku from relegated side Gaddafi FC.
As earlier reported by this website, Asiku signed a two year contract with the new league entrants.
Asiku spent the closing stages of last season at Gaddafi FC before the club was eventually relegated.
He had featured for Wakiso Giants in the opening half of the previous season after leaving Vipers SC.
He is a former student of St. Mary’s Boarding School, Kitende and a graduate of the Vipers Junior Team.
He spent four years with the Vipers senior team and won three Uganda Premier League title plus two Stanbic Uganda Cups.
He joins a growing list of new signings at Lugazi that has Rogers Adriko, Nelson Mandela, Denis Lubowa, Saaka Sharif, Emmanuel Obua and Ian Amanya.
The team will be coached by Sadick Sempigi who will be deputized by Oliver Mbekeka as his immediate assistant.
