Zambia’s Power Dynamos have today arrived in Uganda ahead of their CAF Champions League second preliminary round encounter against Vipers SC.
The Zambian champions will take on Vipers on Sunday 19th October at the St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the first leg of the ultimate qualification round.
Power Dynamos will have to negotiate the tie without their first choice goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga who is ruled out by injury.
The Osward Mutapa coached side will also be without defender Chanda who was red-carded in the club’s previous game against ASEC Mimosas.
Power Dynamos edged Ivorian giants ASEC Mimosas 5-4 in a penalty shoot out following a 1-1 aggregate draw last month.
Vipers also eliminated Namibian champions African Stars 2-0 on aggregate in the previous round of qualification.
The second leg of the encounter will be played on Friday 24th October at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia.
The eventual aggregate winning team will automatically progress to the lucrative Group Stages of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League season.
