Uganda Premier league side URA FC are close to signing former SC Villa left back Joseph Kafumbe.

Kafumbe is currently a free agent following expiration of his employment contract at the 17 time league champions SC Villa.

The revenue collectors have tabled a two year deal for the player and the two are close to reaching a compromise.

In case the deal materializes, Kafumbe will fill the void left by Eric Ssenjobe who joined Rwanda’s Police FC this transfer window.

NEC FC were the other Uganda Premier league side interested in Kafumbe’s signature.

URA FC have so far signed goalkeepers Derrick Ochan and Abdul Magada, midfielder Ibrahim Kazindula, Amuli Mukasa and defender Bright Joseph Vuni among others.

The Revenue collectors have also part ways with Ibrahim Dada, Saidi Kyeyune, Viane Ssekajugo, Eric Ssenjobe and Najib Fesali.
