In surprising development the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has sent the email and details regarding the match officials to oversee SC Villa CAF Champions League game against Ethiopia’s CBE to former Jogoo CEO Ivan Kakembo.
William Nkemba is the current CEO at SC Villa but by surprise, CAF still recognizes Kakembo in the role at SC Villa not the latter.
“I am in receipt of an email and documents in regard to the appointment of match officials for the upcoming SC Villa Jogoo CAF champions league fixture. I left my role as the CEO of the club in 2018 and I am surprised that CAF Online still recognises me in this role but those in charge must address this with CAF.” Said Kakembo
Kakembo also added that CAF still recognizes SC Villa entity under the leadership of Ben Misagga and the issue needs to be addressed by FUFA
“FUFA needs to address the issue of which SC Villa entity is participating in the UPL? CAF still recognizes the SC Villa Jogoo Uganda an entity under the leadership of Ben Misagga as gazetted in the attached document yet the current entity trades as SC Villa.” Added Kakembo

In June last year, SC Villa appointed Isaac Mwesigwa as the new club CEO but only served for one month before he was replaced by William Nkemba the following month at the club.
