The release date for the 2024/25 Uganda Premier league fixtures has been adjusted.
Fixtures for the new league campaign were expected to be announced on 13th August, 2024 but since eight clubs failed to fulfill the required licensing requirements as by the deadline of 31st July a new date for release of fixtures is to be set.
Clubs such as Vipers SC, UPDF FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Mbale Heroes FC, URA FC, Express FC, Police FC and Maroons FC are pending approval.
The eight clubs now have until 15th, August 2024 to complete the pending requirements for licensing.
KCCA FC and Kitara FC are only the two club that have been fully granted a license while reigning champions SC Villa, BUL FC, NEC FC, Soltilo Bright Stars, Mbarara City FC, Lugazi FC have license granted with items in the practice criteria to be fulfilled before the beginning of the second half of the season.
The 2024/25 UPL season is expected to officially kickoff on 13th September while the primary transfer window is to end on 21st of the same month.
