BUL FC have signed goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga on a three year contract, Swift Sports understands.
Muwanga has been a free agent after parting ways with Rwanda Premier League side Etoile de l’Est during the course of last season.
Muwanga comes in a direct replacement for Thomas Ikara who left BUL to join Sidama Bunna of Ethiopia, as earlier revealed by this website.
He is also expected to provide health competition to Joel Mutakubwa who served as the club’s second choice keeper last season.
Muwanga is a tried and tested goalkeeper, and a winner having won the league title with Express FC in 2021.
He rose to the scene with Sadolin Paints in 2016 and was voted as the Best Goalkeeper for his outstanding exploits that year.
He featured for URA FC after leaving Sadolin Paints and also played for Onduparaka FC after leaving Express FC.
BUL FC have seemingly designed a squad that is expected to compete for the big things in the upcoming season.
Isaac Wagoina, Najib Fesali, Dickson Matama, Isaac Musiima, Thomas Ochungo, Anwar Ntege, Bakali Magumba, Yafesi Mubiru have all joined the club.
The Abbey Bogere Kikomeko coached side is expected to use Lugazi’s Najjembe Stadium as their home ground heading into the new season.
