Fred Okot completes switch to Big League side

FUFA Big League new entrants Buhimba Saints United have signed roving right back Fred Okot on a one year contract.

Okot switches from Kyetume FC, a side that was relegated from the FUFA Big League at the end of the previous season.

Okot is a tried and tested right back having played in the Uganda Premier League for some good years.

Notably, he played for Vipers SC and URA FC but also Blacks Power, MYDA FC, Arua Hill, UPDF FC and Lweza FC among others.

The lanky defender is the umpteenth signing made by Buhimba Saints United in the ongoing primary transfer.

John Adriko, Derrick Byabachwezi, Job Owori, Hamza Ssempa, Edison Agondeze and midfielder Davis Kakaire are other new signings already unveiled.

The club also appointed former Crested Cranes coach George Lutalo as their coach to replace Paul Nkata who joined Tanzania’s Kagera Sugar.

Buhimba had a friendly game against Express FC on Sunday which ended 1-0 in favour of the Red Eagles courtesy of Michael Kimera’s lone goal.
