Paul Kiwanuka elevated to head coach role at UPDF FC

UPDF FC have confirmed that Paul Kiwanuka is their new head coach heading into the new 2024/25 season.

Kiwanuka served as the club’s assistant coach in the second half of the season deputizing Pius Ngabo.

After securing safety on the closing day of the season, the army men have rewarded Kiwanuka with an elevation.

” We’re excited to announce Paul Kiwanuka as our new Head Coach. After serving as Assistant Coach to Pius Ngabo last season, Coach Kiwanuka takes the helm, bringing fresh vision and leadership.” Reads the club announcement

Kiwanuka has a rich coaching background having previously coached at Soltilo Bright Stars, Vipers SC and Rwanda Premier League side Gasogi United.

UPDF FC already unveiled Sam Ssekamatte, Daniel Kitala, Emmanuel Ochen and Asaph Ssegujja.

The club also unveiled winger Samson Andrew Kigozi following his departure from Wakiso Giants.
