Busoga United has officially become a community club following a decision that was blessed by the club Patron His Royal Highness, Kyabazinga of Busoga William Wilberforce Kadumbula Nadiope IV in August.

Following the legal documents to transfer the club ownership from the previous owners to the community, FUFA was mandated to name an Executive committee that will run the club.

According to FUFA website, Hajji Abubakar Walubi has been named as the new club Chairman with Diana Hope Nyago serving as the deputy.

Kitonto Ronnie, Kawanguzi Geoffrey, Nkutu David Nelson, Mukoka Yusuf, Atiisa Patrick, Mutesi Deborah, Sylvia Naigaga and Mugabi Samuel are the other Committee members.

Gulere Daniel has been named as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will run the daily operations at the club.

Meanwhile, the community of Busoga that involves different personnel has made contribution of UGX 200M (Two Hundred Million Shillings) and other logistics towards the club.

FUFA President Moses Magogo also made a contribution of training kits.

The new leadership will officially meet players on Wednesday as the team prepares for the forthcoming FUFA Big League season, having been relegated from the topflight division last season.
