Martin Kizza scored on his debut as Fasil Kenema beat Ethiopia Medin 2-1 in the opening match of the Addis Ababa City Cup at the Abebe Bikila Stadium.
Kizza was on target with a close range finish in the 28th minute to double Fasil Kenema’s following a string of neat passes.
The Uganda Cranes winger signed a two year contract with Fasil Kenema over the weekend and only used 28 minutes to announce his arrival.
Kizza officially parted ways with Vipers SC last month and consequently grabbed interest from the Ethiopian giants.
He is expected to be a key figure for the Gondar based club in the upcoming 2024/25 Ethiopia Premier League season that kicks off in about a fortnight.
Fasil Kenema will be aiming for an improved campaign having finished 6th on the league table last season as CBE emerged champions.
Before Kizza, Yasser Mugerwa and Diego Hamis Kiiza are the other Ugandans who have previously featured for Fasil Kenema.
