Defender Savio Kabugo has confirmed joining former Uganda Premier League side Gaddafi FC.
Gaddafi FC will play in the FUFA Big League in the 2024-25 season following their relegation last season.
Kabugo joins as a free agent he was was part of the squad that guided Lugazi FC to UPL last season.
He used his official social media platforms to confirm his new side,
“Hello team sk13….iam here to let you know that the good lord has sorted us for next season and we shall be playing at FUFA Big league side Gaddafi FC/ UPPC and prayers we achieve the target, a huge shout out to my former boss mr kawuulu who gave me an opportunity to show case my talent at Lugazi FC thank you hajji…football is my job and i can’t wait to get started.. halla UPPC/Gadaffi FC .”
Kabugo is a tried, tested and proven defender who has previously played for Lugazi FC, Proline, defunct Victoria University, Proline FC,KCCA FC, SC Villa, URA, Jwaneng Galaxy in Botswana, AS Vita in Congo and Ethiopia’s Sebeta Kenema.
Gaddafi FC will be under the stewardship of Allan Kabonge who will be assisted by Richard Luyima while Swaibu Ssebagala is the goalkeepers coach.
For starters Gaddafi FC was acquired by Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) and will host their games in Entebbe.
