It is turning into a war of words between tacticians Abdallah Mubiru and Brian Ssenyondo ahead of the mouthwatering league contest between KCCA FC and Kitara FC due on Friday under the floodlights of Lugogo.
KCCA FC tactician Mubiru earlier took a swipe to Kitara stating that they are just hyped by the media.
During an interview with NBS Sport, Kitara head coach Brian Ssenyondo has fired back to his counterpart.
“If in our first season from the Big League, we managed to finish in the top four positions in the league ahead of KCCA FC, that’s not overrating because we worked for it, we competed. In the last four years, if you name the three sides or four that have won trophies domestically, Kitara is in there, is that being overrated. The problem we have in our football is that some people fix themselves to positions they are not in.” Said Ssenyondo
Ssenyondo’s side prevailed over KCCA FC last season home and away (3-1 and 1-0) respectively and also beat the 13 time league champions home and away in the FUFA Super 8.
Kitara will be aiming to return to winning ways following their 2-1 defeat to NEC FC in their previous league contest while KCCA FC shared spoils with BUL FC in a 1-1 stalemate at Najjembe.
