Kitara FC suffered another painful defeat to Police FC which once again leaves head coach Brian Ssenyondo’s position under scrutiny.

Before Tuesday’s home defeat, Kitara had lost 2-1 to NEC FC and 2-0 away to KCCA FC.

Gaddafi Augustine Kacancu’s first half goal was enough to earn Simon Peter Mugerwa coached side their first win of the season away to Kitara FC.

Kacancu fired the visitors into the lead off a rebound after Kitara goalkeeper Jamil Kiyimba failed to deal with Isaac Ogwang’s strike from a free kick in the 30th minute.

Brian Obedi thought he had doubled the Cops lead in what looked like a clear goal but was cancelled by the assistant referee in the 34th minute.

Debutant Patrick Henry Kaddu had a decent chance to level matters in the closing stages but failed to hit the target as Mugerwa’s side surged to maximum points.

Police are now unbeaten in three league games they have played against Kitara, with the Cops emerging as victors in all three.

This is the third consecutive defeat for the Royals and it leaves their head coach Ssenyondo on borrowed time.

Kitara are now 11th on the log with just three points and just one above the drop zone.

They are also seven points adrift of current table leaders KCCA FC.
