Asaph Mwebaze officially began his Mbale Heroes FC second stint on Wednesday with a 1-1 stalemate away to fellow newbies Lugazi FC.
The tactician has been unemployed since his departure from the club in April this year.
At Najjembe, Mbwebaze’s side took the lead in the opening ten minutes through Gideon Andrew Etou.
In the 35th minute, Derrick Mwanje restored parity for the home side with a powerful header off Abdul Kalanzi corner kick.
The two sides had decent scoring opportunities but couldn’t capitalize as they settled for a stalemate.
Lugazi FC remain winless in five games they have played this term while Mbale Heroes have only one win and a draw this campaign.
The result leaves Lugazi FC bottom of the table with points while Mbale Heroes are 12th on 4 points
