Richard Kavuma Muteesasira, the senior manager in charges of compliance warned the players against adverts in regards to betting odds.
These advertisements assure people that the odds are guaranteed, yet it’s a game of chance. I think all betting adverts should be regulated in accordance with the law before being aired with specific attention given to preventing minors from exposure to such ads.
USPA President, Lubega highlighted the impact of what the media communicates on betting to the consumers during his presentation.

He also encouraged the media to communicate that betting is a game of chance and not a conscious driven activity.
Ivan Musenero, an occupational therapist with Butabika, addressed the media on the stages of gambling addiction ie:Experimental gambling, Occasional gambling, Problem gambling, Dependency gambling and Gambling Disorder.
Meanwhile, NLGB CEO Ngabirano commended the great work USPA is doing in promoting sports activities in the country through the various updates.
He looks forward to this partnership yielding benefits in line with making the gaming sector beneficial in the country.
