Kitara FC will be aiming for their first win since their 3-0 victory over Lugazi FC on match day one of the Uganda Premier league.

The Royals have only managed just one point in their previous six league games and will visit fellow strugglers Bright Stars on Friday at Kavumba Recreation ground.

Defeats against NEC FC, KCCA FC, Police FC, BUL FC and URA FC plus a stalemate at Mbarara City.

The poor string of results saw Kitara FC part ways with their head coach Brian Ssenyondo who was replaced by Wasswa Bbosa.

Bbosa who lost his first game in charge of the side against URA FC aims for positive results against fellow strugglers Bright Stars.

“We must be clinical and also continue to improve the way we defend. We created three good scoring opportunities in our last game in the first half but wasted them. May be things would have been different had we utilized them,” he said.

” We have to kill off the game when we have such chances and I know it will be different on Friday because we have prepared well and hope to get good results.” Said Bbosa

Bbosa’s side will be without Jasper Aheebwa and Maxwell Owachigiu due to personal reasons and illness respectively while Benjamin Nyakoojo and Moses Sseruyidde are in contention.

Bright Stars on the other hand remain winless this term having lost four and three draws in their opening seven games.

The poor start to the campaign saw them sack their head coach Joseph Mutyaba and will turn the page under the interim basis of Ian Mutenda.
