Four time African champions Ghana will miss the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations due to take place Morocco.

Ghana will not be part of the continental showpiece after failing not qualify.

The Black Stars needed a win over already qualified Angola to have any chances of qualifying from Group F but the two sides played out to a 1-1 stalemate in Luanda.

Ghana captain Jordan Ayew struck on 18 minutes before Ambrosini ‘Zini’ Salvador leveled matters for Angola.

The stalemate means that Ghana will be the biggest absentees for next year’s continental showpiece in Morocco.

The draw leaves Ghana bottom in the group, four points adrift of Sudan in the second qualifying place, with one game to go.

The Black Stars will miss out on Africa’s biggest football competition for the first time since 2004.

Afcon 2025 qualified teams

Morocco (hosts), Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, DR Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
