SC Villa have completed the signing of UPDF defender Simon Mukisa, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Mukisa has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract with the record Uganda Premier league champions.
The former U-17 and U-20 defender is expected to bring stability to SC Villa defence next season.
Mukisa missed out on the Hippos (U-20) final squad that represented Uganda at the U-20 AFCON Finals in Egypt earlier this year.
Before joining the Army side, Mukisa has also previously featured for the KCCA Junior team in the Junior league.
He joins SC Villa’s new signings who are Denis Ojara, Charles Batibwe and Diego Ssemugera and are expected to make several other new signings.
The Jogoos are managed by Serbian tactician Dusan Stojanovic with Morley Byekwaso as his assistant.
The club is also expected to unveil Chinese tyre manufacturers Linglong Tire as their new sponsors before the kickoff of the 2023/24 season.
