The qualification campaign of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations climaxed on Tuesday with several games played at various stadiums.

After six rounds of qualifiers, Morocco’s Brahim Díaz emerged as the top scorer in the qualifiers with seven goals to his name.

Diaz netted a hat-trick in Morocco’s 7-0 demolition of Lesotho on the final matchday of the qualifiers.

The Real Madrid forward leapfrogged Guinea’s Serhou Guirassy, who had led the charts with six goals after Matchday 5.

Diaz scored three goals in the first period as Morocco thrashed Lesotho 7-0 at Stade d’Honneur d’Oujda.

Morocco who are the hosts for next year’s showpiece won all six matches in Group B with a +24 goal difference.

Guirassy, who had scored his sixth goal to secure Guinea’s vital 1-0 win over DR Congo on Matchday 5, failed to find the net in the final game away to Tanzania.

His nation’s qualification hopes were also dashed away by the East African nation in Dares Salaam.

Meanwhile, Algeria’s Amine Gouiri, Zambia’s Kingsley Musonda, and Egypt’s Trezeguet finished with four goals each respectively.
