Sam Ssenyonjo cancelled out Walter Ochora’s first half goal as Express FC salvaged a point against BUL FC in the 1-1 draw at Najjembe on Thursday.

Ochora headed the home side into a deserved lead at the three minutes to halftime off a Jeromy Kirya delivery from a corner kick.

Before Ochora’s goal, Kirya had a decent opportunity to fire the home side into an early lead but failed to hit the target.

Swabiru Mpasa also came close to doubling the lead for Abbey Kikomeko’s side in the 72nd minute.

With the clock ticking, Ssenyonjo restored parity for the Red Eagles in the 89th minute to snatch a point for the seven time league champions who come into the game after a 1-0 win over their rivals SC Villa.

Both sides settled for a points and are tied on 13th points in nine games.

BUL are now unbeaten in five games since their 2-1 defeat at SC Villa while Express have lost just once in six games.

BUL FC faces Maroons on 29th November at Luzira Prison’s Grounds in their previous game while Express FC will host Mbarara City at Nakivubo a day before.
